Daily Dose 7/24

Well the weekend is finally here and it's going to be a good one! The forecast for Seattle during the next 5 days will be mid 90's, so I will work on my tan and my Alcohol in take to keep my self hydrated!

The USA won last night 2-0 against Honduras and now faces a rematch of the 2007 Gold Cup Final against Mexico. The game will be live on FSC at Noon. This will be a no holds bar fight against one of our most hated opponents. The USA is 21-0-1 on home soil since 2001 against all opponents and 9-0-2 in the last 11 games vs. Mexico.

That's right folks we haven't lost on home soil for 8 years. The thing that is most amazing about the USA playing in the final of the Gold Cup this Sunday is that only 3 players(Ching, Pearce, Quaranta) have double digit caps. Most of the players in this tournament played their very first games for the USA in the last 2 weeks, and most of the players are considered the 2nd & 3rd string squad for the USA. Yet they have been able to play themselves into the final. So if you can't watch it live make sure you record it! GO USA!!!
