The vacation went fast and I hope the boys remember all the fun and sites we visited! The season is starting to kick off in Europe and we are in the throws of playoff runs in the MLS.
The official kick off of the EPL is the Community Shield match which pits the winners of the the EPL from the previous year and the winners of the FA Cup from the previous year (or the league runners(Man U) up if the champions (Chelsea) won the double FA & League)
The Sounders kept their strong run in the league going with a win over Houston last night, Montero is starting to look like the go to guy and our two new additions Nkufo & Fernandez really give us some fire power that was lacking. Write up and highlights. The PI gives Montero his due.

Tuesday night the USA will play Brazil in a friendly game, both teams are in the midst of changes. The USA is not sure if they are keeping the coach and Brazil fired their coach and have a lot to prove to the world. Lets hope we see some exciting soccer!
It seems lately over in Europe they have been finding new ways to one up each other in their goal celebrations, the first two are funny but the third one takes the cake!!!
I have to say even though it is the team from the South that we love to hate they had a great season and the local boy who plays for UW was their star! It will be great next year when Portland and Vancouver enter the fray of MLS!

There has been some confusion lately in New York, they signed two DP (Thiery Henry, and Rapheal Marquez) they have a new stadium which is the talk of the town, but their coach seems to be getting compared to a lot of people!

News is coming out from Europe that every ones favorite player "Freddy Adu" may just join the LA Galaxy on a free transfer, this poor kid has gone from signing a pro contract at 13 to 5 different teams by the time he is 20 and now kicked out of Europe, do you give up on him or is he young enough to repeat what Flavor Flav used to say? "Don't believe the Hype"

We all know about pitch invaders, they love to run out on the field during games and either say hi to their favorite players or advertise something, well in Korea the Security teams are a class act compared to the tasing beer bellied ones we have here in America!!

Bob Bradley may yet wind up in the EPL as a Manager, I personally think he can handle the high pressure and may even open the doors even wider for Americans in Europe. It's only a matter of time before we can compete on all levels!
Real Madrid vs. LA Galaxy highlights
It's funny to me when I read about Freddie on another team and how they talk him up to be a bit of a savior, then I watched the highlights from the two games he played with Chicago and I have to wonder if he was sand bagging in May and June when he was told they weren't going to offer a long term contract?
