CONCACAF Champions League started the Group stages last night, the games were not very exciting but its the results that count. The Sounders will play tomorrow in Honduras against Marathon and as this article points out they are weakest team in the group and it gives us our best chance at getting full points on the road!
MLS Goal of the Week Nominees
San Jose signed a player who can really make an impact, he is Brazilian and had a great pedigree of previous clubs. It also doesn't look like we will see Adu anytime soon in the MLS.
My vote for Goal of the Week from Europe
I love it when they do a piece on a guy who is a goal scorer and now says it's all about the trophies and not the goals, then inside they quote him "“I’d rather score 20 goals but win the Champions League and the Premier League,” said Drogba, who managed 37 in all competitions last season. “It’s not really about my performance but I’ve always tried to improve my statistics."
Assists of the Week
This Football fan took "Hooliganism" to another level recently but his support for his team was his ultimate down fall!!
MLS Saves of the Week
The man who spent 7 Million pounds on a player who was living in a homeless shelter and he has never seen play is complaining on how much everyone else spends??
Is this the Headbutt of the Week or Dive of the week?
I love owners who are out spoken, the late great "Steinbrenner" our favorite Texan Jerry Jones, and the other guy in Texas "Mark Cuban" but you ever heard of an Italian/Canadian guy named "Joey Saputo"?
Thiery Henry: The Next Goal Documentary
This is something that the MLS has copied from the NFL and I don't particularly like it because it makes no difference on the field, that said my beloved Sounders held strong!
Bayern Munich vs. Germania Windeck highlights
Who knew the tough streets of New York could be that tough? Bruce Arena found out recently when he caught "Dengue Fever" apparently those pesky mosquito's can pack a punch!
Manchester United vs. Newcastle United highlights
Portland got a new coach for their MLS team, now Vancouver has signed two players from the Swiss league. I really wish them well and can't want for the road trips so we can KICK THEIR ASSES!
It's a Top 10 but not of Soccer, it's worth a watch.
