It's game day in Sea-Town! We have a chance to solidify our playoff run against RSL, they are on a tear this year backing up their MLS Cup win. Lets hope the boys in Green can get some goals in!!

The Sounders have already Sold 20,000 tickets for the US Open Cup Final October 5th, you better get yours if you want to see a Seattle team actually win a championship in Seattle! "The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, which is recognized as U.S. Soccer’s National Championship, is an annual competition open to all amateur and professional soccer teams affiliated with U.S. Soccer. The tournament has crowned a champion for 96 consecutive years dating back to 1914. It is the oldest annual team tournament in U.S. sports history and among the oldest soccer tournaments of its type in the world. In 1999, the competition was renamed to honor long-time soccer pioneer Lamar Hunt."

The national media think RSL are a pretty good team and I agree lets hope the Sounders can break down their defense and score some goals!

College soccer is back in session and there is alot of good talent in the Northwest, we might seem some of this? Or you could catch some good soccer on Capitol Hill this weekend!

The MLS has started to produce some very good young talent, the academy system is starting to take shape and next year a reserve league will be back in the fold. The ultimate goal is to get these young players pushing for spots on the national team!
