Tonight is the last game for the Seattle in the Champions League, it has been a disappointing campaign for the Sounders. Tonight they have an opportunity to be a spoiler and actually finish 3rd in the group.

The Playoffs are 2 weeks away and yet in the final games of the regular season there is still a lot to play for! The Supporters shield (Which also gets an automatic birth into the Champions league) the final league standings are up in the air and along with that playoff seeding. Throw in the teams that don't have much to play for but pride and it is sure to be a wild last weekend!

It happened in the NASL, teams brought in big name players in the twilight of their careers and game them big money in hopes they could still produce.The MLS does something similar but only allows 3 "Designated Players" per team and their salary doesn't count against the salary cap. Steve Zakuani and Danny Mwanga have been sensations this year in the MLS. Mwanga is a canidate for Rookie of the Year and Zakuani is co-leader on the Sounders with 10 goals. Both are from the Democratic Republic of Congo and both were recently contacted by Congo about playing for the 132nd ranked Congolese national team. The other side of the coin is that they could also be eligible to play for the 14th ranked USA.
