Thursday 4th of November

Wednesday was another big day in the UEFA Champions League. AC Milan and Real Madrid had their show down in Milan with Super Pippo notching 2 for Milan and becoming the all time leading scorer for the Champions League. The French beat up on the Romanians, Bayern Munich and Chelsea continued to show they are on a mission to win it all. Roma got some revenge on their Swiss counterparts and the Serbs lost again.

In the 1982 World Cup Semi-Final France was playing Germany and the German keeper at the time was Harold Schumacher who was known just as much for his hair and his ability to play the Keeper position. Schumachers tackle on Pattrick Battiston is one of legend for it's ruthlessness, Tuesday night in Copenhagen Denmark something similar happened between Barcelona and FC Copenhagen. Victor Valdes the Barcelona keeper gives a knee to Dame N'Doye of FC Copenhagen and if it wasn't for his quick thinking teammate N'Doye may have swallowed his tongue and died, instead Jesper Gronkjaer reacted first. Today, Gronkjaer said: “When you see that the man does not move, you’re worried. I checked his tongue and took his hand and then we turned him around. Luckily he woke up…”

Chelsea vs. Spartak Moscow highlights (UCL) 4-1

I am a big fan of the Serie A, Since I lived and played over in Italy for a few years it's always one of the leagues I follow closely. Here are the "Top 10 Goals" of last weeks games.

Assists of the Week

Tonight is the final game for New York and San Jose in the Easter Conference Semifinals. Will Thierry Henry make a cameo appearance or will the 17 year old Agudelo start and make an impact?

AC Milan vs. Real Madrid highlights (UCL) 2-2

Wednesday one of America's purest goal scorers retired from the sport at the age of 30. Taylor Twellman did nothing but score goals and in a fashion that made you get out of your seat and cheer most times. Unfortunately his passion for the goal has cost him his career. Here is the video of his collision that cost him a career.

Special1 TV is back

Seattle fans may have an opportunity March 26th, 2011 to see Argentina vs. USA in a Friendly at Qwest Field. If this article is true it could be worth the price of admission to see Messi work his magic!!

Shakhtar Donesk vs. Arsenal highlights (UCL) 2-1

The inventors of the "Beautiful Game" may not be hosting the beautiful game in 2018 as so many have thought, in fact FIFA will probably award the cup to another country.

Marseille vs. Zilina highlights (UCL) 7-0

LL Cool J said "Don't call it a comeback" but in the case of the New York Cosmos it just might fit the bill. The Cosmos came to a life at a time in America when our big 3 sports were on a slide and the NASL got the fan base with Superstars and big money buys, can it duplicate that again in the MLS?

Auxerre vs. Ajax highlights (UCL) 2-1

In almost every country that has a soccer league they play a full season of 30 to 40 games and based on point system (3 for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss) the team with the most points wins the league, it's not that way in America and here is why!

FC Braga vs. Partizan Belgrade highlights (UCL) 1-0

In 2006 everyone in the World Saw it happen and it was to be Zidane's last appearance for his country. Queue the Special1 Jose Mourinho, after all the wranglings in court and accusations and bad blood the Special1 has brought peace to Materazzi and Zidane!

Bayern Munich vs. Cluj highlights (UCL) 4-0

Round one went to Bruce Arena, he negated Seattle's wing play, unleashed Dema the "Beast" and actually had Goldenballs and Landy play defense the whole game. As a Seattle fan I hope round two goes to Seattle and Sigi!

Roma vs. FC Basel highlights (UCL) 2-1
