Tuesday 16th of November

It is a FIFA sanctioned International week, all players called in by their respected national teams must be released by their clubs. There are a few games today but the bulk of the games will be played Wednesday and there are a few games that look like good matchups. France vs. England, Argentina vs. Brazil, Sweden vs. Germany, and Portugal vs. Spain. One game for Sounders fans to keep an eye on is DR Congo vs. Mali Wednesday night in Paris, Steve Zakuani has been called in by Congo.

Assists of the Week

Being an International week the USA also has a game in South Africa, but a the USA women have a more important game in Italy on Saturday for a birth in the 2011 World Cup and one American is on the other team!

Goal of the Week comes to us from an OLD friend!

Most of us at 15 were looking forward to select soccer or highschool soccer, this kid just signed a pro contract and looks forward to first team soccer with the New England Revolution!

AC Milan vs. Inter Milan (Serie A) 1-0

It's cold in St. Petersburg, Russia during the winter time, but in the summer Summer the city comes alive and is called the Venice of the North for all it's canals and Italainesque architecture. It's no surprise an Italian coach has taken the local team to the Championship!!

Tackle of the Week

Some Americans did really well in Europe over the weekend, others continued to languish on the fringe of their teams.

Genoa vs. Cagliari (Serie A) 1-0

It's the almost the end of the MLS Season with only the final to be played. Now is the time we see the top 11 players of the season, MVP and a myriad of other awards. Who is deserving? Should a Seattle Sounder be in the Top 11?

Fight of the Week (Every once in a while I will post a fight I deem worthy your time)

The USA men play South Africa Wednesday morning here in America, the US has called in a squad of young up and comers with a veteran or two for some guidance. Don't look for the USA to do much on the field, South Africa on the other hand?

Fiorentina vs. Cesena (Serie A) 1-0

In a sign that the MLS is turning more to a European style of clubs, the MLS will allow teams to sign as many academy players as they want. This is good for local talent and kids coming up in the system. Look for this to have a huge impact in 5-10 years!

Juventus vs. Roma (Serie A) 1-1

We all know about the high profile players that chose not to play for the USA, how about the other players that woulda, coulda, or shoulda played for the USA??

Lazio vs. Napoli (Serie A) 2-0

Look for Schelotto to be playing for another MLS team next year, the question is will Sigi try to pick up his old creative midfielder for that last piece of the puzzle that Seattle needs?

Udinese vs. Lecce (Serie A) 4-0

With all the teams he could have played for the boys chooses to play for the USA, will he make a difference, will he play? One has to wonder why choose the USA when he could have played with Ronaldo?

Parma vs. Bari (Serie A) 1-0

Eric Wynalda scored the very first goal in the MLS back in 1996, he has been a broadcaster for the league and now he is looking to be a coach in the league!

Brescia vs. Bologna (Serie A) 1-0

Rich young soccer players have the world at their hands, but man can they be cruel! Mario Balotelli decided to say good bye to his girlfriend on Live TV!!

Catania vs. Palermo (Serie A) 3-1

Making friends in soccer is sometimes hard at the professional level, for agents and ex-players it seems even harder!!

Bayern Munich vs. Nurnberg (Bundesliga) 3-0

Freiburg vs. Hoffenheim (Bundesliga) 1-0

Wolfsburg vs. Schalke (Bundesliga) 2-2

Kaiserslatuern vs. Stuttgart (Bundesliga) 3-3

Borussia Monchengladbach vs. Cologne (Bundesliga) 4-0
