There has been some movement over night in the transfer market, Spurs look to have signed (for a hefty price) there man.

It was something you don't always witness at a game, post hit 3 times, 5 different shots on goal, 5 different misses and all in the span of 11 Seconds, one could call it "A Greek Tragedy"

Chivas hires ex-player and twice "Defender of the Year" Fraser as it's new head coach, and as his assistant Fraser hires ex-player and one time announcer failure Greg Vanney!!

In other MLS News Sigi, Sigi, Sigi, is a chant heard at Qwest Field or as I like to call it "Sounder Stadium" and this week Sigi was honoured!

They took it away in 2004 after Euro 2004, but now FIFA is looking to bring it back in 2014 Brazil. I am not sure if it will help or hinder the game, I know it will make teams play for the win instead of just playing not to concede!

Barcelona will wear a "Black Away Shirt" next season, it looks good but the name takes alot of space!!

Real Madrid has no need to sign new players in the transfer window, they have Kaka coming back from injury (thats like a new player) and with Kaka's new boots they also have Jesus in First Place!!

Manchester United 2 – Stoke 1 (Premier League, January 4, 2010)

Thanks to his two-goal performance against Getafe on Monday, Cristiano Ronaldo has 60 goals (and one baby) in his first 61 matches across all competitions over a year and a half with Real Madrid. (Ronaldo's Top 10 Goals) According to AS, that's more than Puskas (55 goals), more than Di Stefano (52), more than Pahino (50) and more than Fat Ronaldo (43).

In addition to that feat, Cristiano is also on pace to break La Liga record for goals in a season held by Telmo Zarra and Hugo Sanchez (38). We should also remember trailing Cristiano by two goals in the standings for the 2010/11 Pichichi and scoring 105 goals in 153 games for Barcelona is Leo Messi!

Between all those goals and the shirt sales, that €94 million transfer fee isn't sounding so ridiculous anymore, huh? OK, it is. But Real Madrid should still buy that baby of his on the off chance he turns out to be even better.

Fulham 3 – West Brom 0 (Premier League, January 4, 2011)
(Watch highlights here)

One reason I watch a big rivalry game is to see the players battles inside the game, over the years there have been some great "Player Rivalries" some have continued off the pitch and some have got nasty!

Skill Show 46

The MLS is entering it's 15th year of existence and it that relative short time the league has grown from 10 initial teams to 19 teams, with over half of those teams having soccer specific stadiums. A Generation of kids who were born after 1994 are now playing in the MLS, it is truly a great thing for American Soccer, but American Soccer would not be in this great period of soccer growth if it wasn't for the NASL!

Al-Wasl 2 – Hamburg 3 (Friendly, January 4, 2011)

American Goalkeepers in the UK are always held in high regard, well that is unless your coach is French. Apparently Big Brad and Little Brad seem to be on the outs with Mr. Houllier and Aston Villa.

Goal of the Week Nominee (His first ever goal and it's a Beauty!)

Yesterday we looked at Barcelona's "Team of the Decade", today it's Real Madrid's "Team of the Decade" and La Liga's "Team of the Decade" any players missing? As we go into the next decade who will still make this list?

2010 US Soccer Montage

2010 gave us a great year of International Soccer with it culminating in a World Cup, 2011 will be a little slower in the International Soccer department.

Asteras Tripolis 3 – Ergotelis 0 (Greek Super League, January 5, 2011)

Normally we would see Drogba, Lampard, Terry, Rooney, and Gerrard on this list but this year has been different in terms of title race and players rising to the occasion. Here is the EPL's "Team of the Year" so far.

Old School Game of the Week (NY Cosmos vs. Chicago Sting)

We know players get paid to much (Beckham, Henry, Ljunberg, Marquez) for what they produce on the field in the MLS, but he "Designated Player Rule" is what it is (Left over NASL ways of bringing in older washed up talent) I have accepted it begrudgingly, the problem I see is the poor kid on the other end of the food chain who play just as hard (sometimes harder) and yet don't reap the spoils? The Salary cap is a great thing in MLS for keeping parity in the league, but keeping the peace amongst a team when one player drives a Bentley and one drives a Miata is another thing all together!

Goal of the Week Nominee & Miss of the Week Nominee all in one Video!!

It's hard to understand Jermaine Jones fall from grace at Schalke 04, he went from star central midfielder to playing for the reserves now for over a month with no let up in sight. I guess something is to be said when you call out the coach!

Wellington Phoenix 2 – Melbourne Victory 0 (A-League, January 5, 2011)

Over in the Roman capital it could be a "New York State of Mind" if two owners have anything to say about it!!

Bahrain 0 – North Korea 1 (International Friendly, January 4, 2011)
