In America we search for athletic talent that can carry the hopes of many, in Soccer we haven't found that player yet. Landon Donovan has the ability but hasn't made the move to Europe on a permanent basis that would silence his critics. One 18 year old seems to be on the fast track and many think he could be the Juan!

Lyon 1 – Real Madrid 1 (Champions League, February 16, 2011)

Major League Soccer is trying to get from Point A (minor, inconsequential league inhabiting a corner of the American sports landscape) to Point B (massive, important competition that draws big time players, big time attention, and big time dollars). Currently, it's on foot, walking slowly from Point A in the general direction of Point B. Over the course of the last sixteen years it has made steady, if excruciatingly slow, progress. What will help the league pick up the pace?

FC Copenhagen 0 – Chelsea 2 (Champions League, February 16, 2011)

22 years for one team is a long time, but Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes have demonstrated that if you take care of your body, work hard, and put the team first good things will happen and at 36 & 37 years of age they both look to play on for another year.

CSKA Moscow 1 – PAOK 1 (Agg. 2-1) (Europa League last-32 2nd leg, February 17, 2011)

I follow alot of soccer or football if you grew up anywhere else other than America. In the smaller countries of the world the leagues aren't that strong but usually have 1 or 2 strong teams that compete on the international level, in Scotland those two teams would be Rangers & Celtic and in the SPL playing for 3rd place is something all together.

Blackpool 3 – Tottenham 1 (Premier League, February 22, 2011)

Playing video games is often thought of as "Wasting Time" well one chap decided that his video game experience wasn't a waste and was actually equal to the real experience!
