Tevez may investigate legal action after the Argentine was effectively found guilty by City of refusing to play in a Champions League game against Bayern Munich and fined four weeks' wages. The striker has 14 days to appeal the decision, and should any such internal action fail, Tevez is expected to take the matter further.

Bike of the Week
He was right to. As the players piled off the bus to be mobbed by supporters, their top scorer Juanlu said: "I'd just tell them to enjoy the moment because this doesn't happen often." Not often? Not at all. After eight games in La Liga Levante were top of the table -- for the first time in its entire,102-year history. "It is," Juanlu said, "a miracle." Then he added: "Olé, our bollocks!"
Sevilla 2 – Racing Santander 2 (La Liga, October 25, 2011)
It hardly comes as a surprise that the so-called New Cosmos group is in turmoil. The high-flying Paul Kemsley, the hyper-Brit who has been telling everyone that the rebirth of the New York Cosmos which he was supposed to be engineering “is going to be huge.”

Tonight’s match is a dream scenario for New York's Stephen Keel who, just a few months ago, was helping his dad flip foreclosed houses in the mountains of Colorado by doing all the electrical, plumbing and carpentry. Now he’s working just as hard for an MLS Cup ring.

Every so often we come across mental incidents from a football outpost that simply beggar belief and we can now add the name Julian Bursuc to the numerous nutters who play the Beautiful Game.
On Saturday in Moldova, Bursuc and his Sfintul Gheorge team mates travelled to Iskra Stal for a mid-table clash in the Divizia Nationala which ended in a 3-0 defeat for the away side.
From our research it is not immediately clear what angered 35-year-old Bursuc but we join the action with the midfielder protesting his innocence to the linesman when the referee comes over.
With barely a glance sideways, Bursuc swings a right hook into the referee, who to his credit doesn’t go down. Also in the scene is what appears to be a Moldovan policeman who quickly gets hold of the midfielder.
Subsequently, Bursuc has announced his retirement from football and his last ever moment in professional football is set to go viral across the globe.
