Wednesday 3rd of March

The USA's game in Amsterdam against the Dutch is a stern test and kinda like a "Last Chance Saloon" for some of the guys trying to make the squad for South Africa. I would assume some of the injured guys will be given a pass but the "Bubble Boys" better have a good go of it today!

Over in England there are alot of coaches and players that want to help the USA in any way possible to beat the English on June 12th. I tend to like the fact that we get some insight and subtle info because after all we are perfect rivals ever since we left England and improved the language long ago!!

Brazil played Ireland on Tuesday and they showed why they are the favorites going into the World Cup. Brazil's subs alone would start and star on any other national team! Here is the second goal of the game, the passing and movement is sublime.

Now I have seen alot of crazy incidents, tackles, and goals in my 30 plus years playing and coaching soccer. This next video is an absolute new one on me! It comes from the amateur leagues in Germany, you will have to wait a bit to get the full effect but it is one of the most improbable goals I have ever seen!

Since that last video was hard to believe here are some goals and bloopers that leave you wondering what "were they thinking" or "How did that happen"?

I read alot of newspapers on a daily basis and I always find it interesting that most if not all of them tend to have an article or two about sex. Not sure if it is to keep readership up or peak interest but the best part is the details and comments put into these types of articles!

Everyone loves a keeper that can score (on the pitch) this comes from the 2nd division in Spain. The wind aided kick does a one hopper and fools the other keeper!

I like technology, I like gadgets and new inventions. For every good one there are some that leave you shaking your head in dis-belief? The first article is something I foresee our children using, the 2nd article is something I hope I never see!

I think the idea of this movie is really cool, here is the new trailer for it. Filmed in over 25 countries it follows two former college players around the world as they kick it around with firemen, prisoners, bootleggers and anyone else they can find with two feet and a love of the game. Hopefully they will get a big time distribution contract and we can actually see this in theaters soon?

For the "Old School Goal of the Week" I have picked a goal from the 1974 World Cup Final. Germany vs. Holland. The most interesting part of this goal is the fact that from the kick off Holland passes the ball 18 times and Germany does not touch the ball until the foul!

The USA women's team won the Algraves Cup for the 7th time!
