Saturday night the Seattle Sounders won their 13th game of the season, with the win they clinched a playoff birth for the second year in a row . With two games left in the regular season Seattle looks like they are on a crash course to play the LA Galaxy in the first round of the playoffs. We all know how Seattle two games against LA went this year a 4-0 loss and a 3-1 loss, both games came when the team was in a bit of a disarray. Since the July 4th loss Seattle has been on Fire with a 9-1-3 record in their last 13 games.

Seattle Sounders vs. Kansas City Wizards highlights (2-1)

The USA played Poland on Saturday night, it ended in a 2-2 draw. The USA gave Jermain Jones his international debut with the USA, he didn't disappoint and gave a strong performance in midfield. Onewyu showed he to was coming back to the form everyone knows and expects from him! Another revelation was Stuart Holden, since his move to Bolton in the EPL he has been a study performer and that came through in his performance Saturday night, all in all a good first game for Team USA in the long road to the World Cup. On another note we still have no true #10!

Charlie Davies has had a rough go over the last year with the injury and missing the World Cup. Now Charlie was caught rolling down the French highway at 120mph with a Faty in his car!! He quoted a Shaggy song with his "It wasn't me" defense, he still got fined $1000!

The Galacticos was a name given to the players on Real Madrids team many years back when they had Zinédine Zidane, Ronaldo, Luís Figo, Roberto Carlos, Raúl and David Beckham to name a few. Raul was one of the Galacticos who went on to play 742 official matches for Real Madrid, scoring 325 goals, winning six La Liga titles, three Champions League finals - scoring in two of them - and two Intercontinental Cups, again scoring the winner in one of them.

San Jose Earthquakes vs. DC United (2-0)

The Redbulls have Juan Pablo Angel, Rafa Marquez, and Thierry Henry, all great players in their own right. Then they have the guy who has been carrying the team to the playoffs, Dane Richards!

Creating, cultivating, and keeping home grown talent should be at the forefront of US Soccer's agenda. The MLS is doing it's part and if we can trickle this down to the club level in America I think we will have the talent needed to compete at a World Cup!
