The Seattle Sounders are down in Kansas City this weekend to play the Wizards. A win for Seattle locks up a Play off birth, a loss for Kansas city all but eliminates them from the playoffs. If we look at both teams seasons closely it really has been a tale of two halves. In the first 15 games of the season Kansas went 3-9-3=12pts, while Seattle went 5-6-4=19pts the last 12 games of the season both teams have played much better with Kansas going 6-5-3=21pts and Seattle has gone 7-3-2=23pts. Even though fans felt like Seattle was struggling in the beginning of the season it really has been a very consistent season for them while the slow first half of the season for Kansas has put them between a rock and a hard place this weekend. The president of Chile setup a friendly game between his team and local team. Off the pitch the President probably can do what he wishes but on the pitch, well lets say he can't do this!


Tuesday night he won the Open Cup with the Sounders and on Thursday he won MLS Goal of the Week. Lets hope the good run of form keeps rolling all the way to Toronto!!

Some would say that the decade that was 1990-2000 was one of the best for Italians in the modern era. 6 out of the 10 champions league final had an Italian team in it, players like Ronaldo, Ravanelli, Van Basten, Guillet, Del Piero, Baresi, Zola, and many others all plied their trade in the Serie A. I lived in italy for 5 of these 10 years and it truly was a time of great soccer!
