Monday 1st of November

Halloween night at Qwest Field in Seattle was a raucous affair with the Seattle fans in full voice. Unfortunately Seattle's tactics on the field were negated by LA and a fortuitous goal. Some will say the goal was luck but strikers shoot at all angles and at all times with hopes of scoring. Sunday night that is what Edson Buddle did and has done all year long, and Bruce Arena's tactical awareness shown. Seattle has all to play for when they visit sunny Carson California on November 7th, I for one hope Sigi and the boys can pull a rabbit out of the hat!!

Seattle Sounders vs. LA Galaxy highlights (MLS Playoffs) 0-1

Seattle came out on fire and in the first 40 seconds they had already put a scare into LA on Halloween but Zakuani's goal was ruled off side. From that point on Seattle seemed to chase the game a bit and when they couldn't create the usual flank play they have thrived on they played long ball and as everyone saw it didn't work!

FC Dallas vs. Real Salt Lake highlights (MLS Playoffs) 2-1

You either thrive or you dive under when it comes to pressure. The playoffs represent the win or go home version of the MLS Season. Some teams stepped up and some teams let themselves be taken out of their games.

New York Redbull vs. San Jose Earthquakes highlights (MLS Playoffs) 1-0

Big games are being played right now in the qualification for the Women's World Cup, the USA won 5-0 over Haiti last week and yesterday won 9-0 over Guatemala. Two very strong performances with hattricks in each!!

Arsenal vs. West Ham United highlights (EPL) 1-0

Consistency in performance is what wins fans in the EPL and one American who has done that over the years was Brian McBride. Now another American carries the torch in the EPL on the field Clint Dempsey, his two goals over the weekend gave Fulham the much needed points and Dempsey more confidence to perform! Who has been the best American in the EPL?

Wolves vs. Manchester City highlights (EPL) 2-1

The "Hand of God" turned 50 over the weekend and there were parties on 2 continents for the little Argentinean! Here are some of his better highlights and goals, he is also looking for a job!!

Toronto FC is hosting the MLS Cup this year on November 22nd, it seems that is the only thing they really have going for them. They fired their coach and GM and now look to hire a consultant to help them right the ship!!

Fulham vs. Wigan highlights (EPL) 2-0

In 31 days they will announce who gets to host the 2018 and 2022 World Cups. England looks to be a lock for the 2018 cup, but the 2022 is still up in the air!

Liverpool vs. Bolton highlights (EPL) 1-0

South America's version of the Champions League is called "Copa Libertadores" and the winner gets to play at the Club World Cup just like winner of the Champions League. We may soon see MLS teams participating in this tourney!!
