1-13-11

The Boys and I are heading to "Sin City" for the "Kings Cup" this weekend, I may or may not update the Blog Friday and Monday (all depending on win-loss record and hangover-memory record!!)

Draft Day in the USA! The MLS held it's annual Superdraft today, there were a few surprises like a 17 year old going number 1 and the best player in the draft went number 2 because he didn't want to go to Canada.

Here is the full 3 rounds of the draft picks 1 through 54

Seattle had the 11th pick in the draft but traded it to Portland. Seattle ended up with 4 picks in Round 2 and 1 pick in Round 3. Here are the players Seattle drafted.

Vancouver also made some noise outside the draft. LA also made some moves.

If your a northwest soccer fan of the lower tier leagues/teams then this summer you may want to catch one of these games!

The 2010 World Cup didn't bring the economic boom that South Africa expected, but what it did do is leave of legacy of soccer in the memory of many African children and Nike left a place for them to play!
