1-18-11

Had a long weekend in Vegas and trying to get caught up all fronts!!

Today is the MLS supplemental draft, essentially it's a draft for the remaining college kids who didn't get picked last week, but still have an outside shot at making an MLS team. Draft Tracker.

Speaking of MLS teams, could New York have a rebirth of cool and launch the 20th team sometime soon?

One American is on the move during the January Transfer window. Two others are trying to make a move, and one more has been signed by a Manchester United Legend.

Portland has signed a goal scorer and it wasn't their first round pick!

Rangers 4 – Hamilton 0 (SPL, January 15, 2010)

Here is Seattle's off season moves so far,
IN: Julien Baudet (trade with COL), Danny Earls (trade with COL), O’Brian White (trade with VAN), Chris Seitz (Re-Entry Stage 2), Erik Friberg (free), Michael Tetteh (SuperDraft #20), Juan Leone Cruz (SuperDraft #21), Servando Carrasco (SuperDraft #27), Bryan Meredith (SuperDraft #29), Alex Caskey (SuperDraft #47)
OUT: Sanna Nyassi (expansion draft to VAN), Nate Sturgis (expansion draft to VAN), Peter Vagenas (traded to COL), Tyrone Marshall (Re-Entry Draft to COL), Chris Seitz (trade with DAL)

Liverpool 2 – Everton 2 (Premier League, January 16, 2011)

Vancouver shocked some in the soccer world drafting a little known 17 year old for the first pick of the MLS Draft, now they have thrown a bone to a little Welshman.

Hibernian 0 – Celtic 3 (SPL, January 15, 2011)

Seattle's draft picks bio's, here is the picks the Sounders picked up in the supplemental draft today.

Sunderland 1 – Newcastle 1 (Premier League, January 16, 2011)

The USA plays this Saturday against Chile, it's on TV if you have Telefutura or online with ESPN3 (I'm watching it online with the Xbox) one player I wish was playing in this game will be making a big move soon!

Birmingham 1 – Aston Villa 1 (Premier League, January 16, 2011)

Currently playing for Cellar Dweller in the Bundesliga Michael Bradley could be on the move soon with Sunderland rumored putting a bid in for him.

West Ham 0 – Arsenal 3 (Premier League, January 15, 2011)

Young players is the theme this year in the MLS, in NY one frenchman is helping mentor the USA's next attacking prodigy. In Vancouver a comparison to Chicarito is big shoes to fill for the 17 year old.

Manchester City 4 – Wolves 3 (Premier League, January 15, 2011)

It's done and dusted but as time goes by truths come out, the 2022 World Cup if anything will be remembered for being pretty much bought. Now the price and facts can be shared!

Chelsea 2 – Blackburn 0 (Premier League, January 15, 2011)

New York drafted Wayne Rooney's younger brother, the question is will he ever play?

Showboating Time

America is the land of opportunity, but not for soccer players. The list of players the USA has lost to dual nationality reads pretty good, now another player is probably on the outs.

Roberto Carlos can put a swerve on the ball (Scores from a Corner)
