2-1-11

Sounders are down in Arizona and looking a few new players, this guy is a goal scorer, the coach got interviewed, here is the roster of players training in the sun. One last bit of Sounders news has to do with their young boys!

Some interesting news coming out of Washington DC could bring a local boy home from France.

Darren Bent $35 Million dollars, Andy Carroll $51 Million dollars, Fernando Torres $75 Million dollars, 5 things to ask after the transfer deadline!

As everyone guessed the USA cancelled it's game against Egypt scheduled for February 9th due to the unrest in the country.

One American vow's to impress after his move from Germany to England. Another American moved on loan and is now talking Turkey.

A week can't go by without this guy getting some face time with the press, the only thing I like about him is that there is not quite in him!

He has struggled for over a year to play and now with a move to Holland the "Gooch" is finally able to get a game in and he is relishing the chance.

Time for some "Showboating"

Japan recently won the Asian cup with a Glorious Volley, lets take a look at game winning goals from recent International Cups.

Sochaux 5 – Rennes 1 (Ligue 1, January 29, 2011)

Mark July 27th on your calendar, the MLS has announced that the Redbull Arena will host the MLS allstar game on that day who they play is still to be determined.

NAC Breda 0 – Ajax 3 (Eredivisie, January 30, 2011)

Normally a coach signs a multi year contract when he takes a team over, but for a coach who has moved 29 times since 1976 time is not his luxury on this journey. Vancouver also has found an international left back!

Heerenveen 1 – Groningen 4 (Eredivisie, January 30, 2011)

While Barcelona builds with youth and a smattering of talent that is bought, Real Madrid takes the other route.

The Sounders have a great fan base with 32,000 strong attending every game, cheering, shouting, and standing the whole time but we have nothing on the Greeks!

Manchester United picked the little pea out of obscurity and he has done nothing but flourish under the bright lights of the big city!!

Special 1 TV

The Sounders need a player to have a break out season, he needs to score goals, have flashes of brilliance and lead the team to the promise land, could it be the Harvard grad?

Excelsior 1 – ADO Den Haag 5 (Eredivisie, January 30, 2011)

Playing for the same team since 1991 is a record in itself, now Ryan Giggs has been voted as the "Best Manchester United Player Ever"

AZ Alkmaar 6 – VVV Venlo 1 (Eredivisie, January 29, 2011)

Sounders pre-season news, notes, and games.

Vitesse 5 – Roda 2 (Eredivisie, January 29, 2011)

St. Pauli 3 – Cologne 0 (Bundesliga, January 29, 2011)
