Thursday 28th of October

The MLS Playoffs kick into high gear tonight with Columbus vs. Colorado on ESPN2 at 6pm here on the left coast. Columbus has the talent and experience but Colorado has 2 capable goal scorers in Casey & Cummings. If Colorado can exploit the flanks like Seattle did against Columbus then it could be game over early!!

Yesterday was another day of cup games on the European continent, as expected the big boys rolled in most games. Tonight the USA Women's National team starts the qualifying round for the 2011 World Cup.

Arsenal vs. Newcastle highlights (Carling Cup) 4-0

FIFA is suppose to announce the Hosts of the 2018 & 2022 World Cups on December 2nd, 2010. The problem is that the process has turned into a scandal with vote buying, name calling, and collusion of the bidding.

Aston Villa vs. Burnley highlights (Carling Cup) 2-1

MLS announced the end of season award nominees yesterday, and not a one player from Seattle was on the lists. Is that right? Did no Seattle player do enough to make one of these lists?

West Ham United vs. Stoke City highlights (Carling Cup) 3-1

We all have seen it happen, a penalty is give the player takes it and scores but the Ref spots an infringement and the penalty has to be re-taken. It happened 5 times the other day.

Catania vs. Varese highlights (Coppa Italia) 4-3

It seems every other week there is some sort of "Top 10 List" that is thrown about. This time it is a "Top 20 List" of the Greatest Managers who had the greatest impact on soccer. Lots of names you won't recognize but their history in the game is very interesting.

Lazio vs. Portogruaro highlights (Coppa Italia) 3-0

Someone call MLS Michael Owen has announced he might be ready for Retirement!@!

Sevilla vs. Real Union highlights (Copa del Rey) 4-0

The numbers for the MLS season attendance are out for all the teams. Looks like there is room for growth all around the league, lets hope that happens!!

Athletico Madrid vs. Universidad highlights (Copa del Rey) 5-0

During the game players are focused and in the moment, sometimes that can lead to a reckless challenge or some verbal banter when a call doesn't go your way, it can also lead to a Red Card and an early shower. One player decided if he couldn't play than no one could play!

Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Hamburg highlights (DFB Pokal Cup) 5-2

Chelsea have a Billionaire owner who has thrown almost 600 million pounds at the club paying off debt, buying players, and getting the best managers money can buy. The question is who are the 10 worst buys?

Celtic vs. ST Johnston highlights (COI Cup) 3-2

The English culture in football/soccer is a drinking culture, have a few beers after a game. Hit the club with your mates etc. One change that has slowly entered into this culture is the emergence of continental managers and players who don't have this style.

Ajax vs. Hereenven highlights (Erisdivise) 3-1

Now that the Wayne Rooney saga has simmered a bit the truth has started to leak out. Yes he has an ankle knock as Sir Alex suggested, but no he was never going to leave ManU (So says Wayne to a Stranger) but he will be forever ridiculed for his choice in lovers!

Blooper of the week comes from the Chinese Super League, Kiwi Chris Killin plays peekaboo with the keeper and taps home an easy goal!!
